    About Laurel Ridge Treatment Center   In 1987, Laurel Ridge Treatment Center opened its doors to provide specialized behavioral health care and addiction treatment on a therapeutic 29-acre campus, located in North Central San Antonio, Texas.   Our 330-bed facility was designed with one mission in mind: Saving Lives, Healing Families, and Creating Hope. The facility includes a charter school, gymnasium, recreational facility, playgrounds, swimming pool, ROPES (Reality-Oriented Physical Experiential Situation Course), library and dining room.   FM / IM Hospitalist – Inpatient Psychiatry Hospital – San Antonio, TX   Position Overview - Conduct medical assessments, initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and patient discharges. - Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans that address both mental health and medical issues. - Participate in treatment team meetings to contribute insights into the patient's medical condition(s), discuss treatment options, and ensure that the overall care plan is comprehensive and cohesive. - Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities during their length of stay, alongside Psychiatrists, other mental health providers, and support staff. - Provide medical education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications that may impact overall health. - Provide medical consults as needed in the General Adult units, Mission Resiliency Program (military, veterans, etc.), and Detox/SUD units.    Details - Full time position, 40 hours per week. - Employed W-2 or 1099 contractor options available. - Monday-Friday, days only. - Occasional weekend coverage every 4th week. - Call coverage one evening per week, from 8p-6a, by phone only.
