North Star Behavioral Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient behavioral health team.

Position Highlights

• Conduct admission H&Ps, follow-up assessments, and medical consults for behavioral health patients. 
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and nursing staff.
• Manage medical needs of inpatient behavioral health patients.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care.

Requirements

1. Licensure: Alaska Physician Medical license (MD/DO), or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
2. Education: Completion of an accredited medical school with Family Medicine residency training.
3. Certification: Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Family Medicine (MD/DO).
4. Experience: New graduates with relevant clinical training and strong interest in behavioral health will be considered.
